Station at Kowloon to the Commodore, Hong Kong, who will
give the necessary instructions to the British anti-piracy
vessel on patrol and take any other steps he may consider
desirable.
In the event of a vessel of the Chinese Maritime
Customs obtaining touch with a ship in the hands of pirates
who will remain in the vicinity of the ship until the
arrival of a British or Chinese Naval or Coastguard vessel.
(ii) If the British anti-piracy vessel suspects a
Piracy or encounters any ship acting suspiciously, she is
to shift to 550 metres and broadcast her information in
plain language using the call sign EMAA which will signify
the address for all seagoing Chinese Maritime Customs
vessels. On receipt of this information Chinese Maritime
Customs vessels in the vicinity will take the necessary
action to locate or shadow the vessel/s in question.
North of Shanghai.
(1) If the ship is discovered or information is avail-
able to a Chinese Karitime Customs authority or vessel, she
will communicate the information direct or via a Chinese
Customs W/T Station to the Chinese Maritime Customs
authorities at Shanghai who will inform the Staff Officer
(Intelligence) at Shanghai.
(11) If any of H.M. Ships is in possession of
information regarding piracy she is to shift to 550 metres
and broadcast her information in plain language using the
call sign EMAA which will signify the address for all sea-
going Chinese Maritime Customs vessels. On receipt of this
information Chinese Maritime Customs vessels in the vicinity
will take the necessary action to locate or shadow the
vessel/s in question.
